2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Named

The names of the candidates for the coveted position in the “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” of 2023 have been announced, with George Michael (George Michael), Kate Bush (Kate Bush), Cyndi Lauper (Cyndi Lauper) and Missy Elliott (Missy Elliott) to be among the candidates.

The White Stripes, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, The Spinners, A Tribe Called Quest, and and Warren Zevon complete the list with results to be announced in May.

“This remarkable list of inductees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates,” said John Sykes, president of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and continues. “These artists created their own sounds that influenced generations and countless others who followed in their footsteps.”

It should be noted that the rule for selecting candidates dictates that the respective artist must have released his first album at least 25 years before the year of nomination.

It is the fifth nomination for Rage Against The Machine, the fourth for Kate Bush and the Spinners and the second for Iron Maiden and A Tribe Called Quest.
