Glória Maria’s eldest daughter, who died last Thursday (2) from cancer, published a story honoring her mother. She and her sister, Laura, 14, were adopted by the journalist in 2009, during an 11-month stay she spent in Bahia.
Maria began the story by stating that her biggest fear was losing her mother and that she will always carry the journalist in her heart. “You were not only the best mother in the world, but you were also the best friend I could have. I learned a lot from you. My best teacher in life. I am feeling safe, because I know that you are taking care of me and my family. my little sister upstairs. You and grandma. We are happy you are together after a long time,” he wrote.
She also thanked Glória for being her “mother, partner and greatest companion”. “I wanted to say that I’m going to make you as proud as you did me.” And she completed remembering several moments that they spent as a family.
“The love I feel for you, Mom, is inexplicable. It will be difficult to live without you by my side every day. Our fights, laughter, confusions. Everything. The best moments I’ve ever had were certainly by your side” , he wrote.
Maria still made a point of sending a message to the journalists who are inspired by the presenter. “Future journalists who are inspired by my mother, keep it up because you will go as far as she went! With the greatest love and affection in the world, from the daughter who loves you more than anything”, she concluded.
