Latino didn’t even throw a party at his apartment, but the singer celebrated a lot having managed to recover his official profile on Instagram. Since November, he had his account suspended by the Justice for spreading false news about the 2022 presidential elections. Excited about his return, he even changed his speech regarding the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
A supporter of former President Jair Bolsonaro, he lamented his candidate’s defeat hours after the official result and even referred to Lula’s voters as “uninformed” at the end of October. But now, Latino says he is optimistic about the current government. “We have to cheer for Brazil. Remembering that we have only one pilot, and if that pilot is bad, everyone crashes, everyone dies”, he began.
The singer continued: “Let’s cheer for Brazil, life goes on. Let’s stop looking at the rearview mirror. Let’s look ahead, which is more important”, said Latino, who also promised not to touch on subjects related to politics in his networks. “From now on it’s going to be lifestyle, music, entertainment and things that you love to enjoy.”
Latino has been involved in several Bolsonaro-related controversies over the past four years, and has always shown support for the former president. The most recent was the determination of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) to exclude a publication, where the singer reproduced fake news about the insinuation that girls and boys would go to the same bathroom in schools if Lula won the elections. “Three months of punishment. Not being able to release anything, show anything, publicize anything. It was terrible. Guys, I’m really happy to be back, really”, he concluded.
