Hudson breathed his last in a London hospital, where he was being treated for a recent health adventure, his family announced.
Before moving into film, Hudson directed television commercials in the late 1960s. In the early 1970s, he directed a documentary about Argentine Juan Manuel Fangio, a legendary Formula 1 racing driver.
