The popular actor had to be hospitalized in a hospital in Mexico Richard Gere, as he was diagnosed with pneumonia while on vacation with his family.
Geer had traveled to the country to celebrate his wife’s 40th birthday Alejandra Silva. The couple have been married since 2018, and have two children together, with whom they traveled as a family. According to TMZ, the actor was diagnosed with pneumonia after visiting a hospital near their vacation home in Nuevo Vallarta, and it was decided to be hospitalized as a precaution during the night. He has since been discharged and is in better health.

On Sunday, Alejandra Silva shared a photo from their vacation on Instagram, featuring Gere to look healthy, wearing a mask and walking hand in hand with one of their sons. “Woke up this morning and saw the news and all your kind and concerned messages, he is recovering feeling much better today! The worst is already over! Thank you all for your sweet messages, we really appreciate them!” he said characteristically.
According to an earlier Instagram post by Silva, both of their children were also sick on the trip to Mexico. She wrote on Friday: “Thank you all for the birthday wishes..after almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family today I’m finally feeling much better! Thank you for all your love I return it all!”
