Rosângela Silva, known as Janja, appeared this Sunday afternoon (19) in Expresso cabin 2222 to enjoy the Carnival in Salvador. The first lady was welcomed by singer Gilberto Gil and his wife, Flora Gil, who have been running the space for many years.
“Sunday of encounters. Honor to receive our first lady Janja”, published the account of the space on Instagram. President Lula’s wife also posed with Flora Gil and Fátima Mendonça, wife of Senator Jaques Wagner (PT-BA). “Three Brazilian First Ladies Daydreaming at Salvador’s Carnival,” reads the photo’s caption.
Janja arrived wearing the cabin abadá, which was personalized with gems. According to G1 Bahia, upon arrival, she was introduced to the space and then taken to a VIP area, without contact with the press.
Cabin Express 2222 is located on the Barra-Ondina circuit, on the edge of Salvador. Several authorities, celebrities and other personalities tend to frequent the space on the different days of Carnival.
Before appearing there, Janja was with Lula at the Aratu Naval Base, located on Inema beach, the last beach south of the Bahian capital —a cove divided into two sides, one of which is private for the military. According to the press office of the Palácio do Planalto, the couple traveled without the traditional staff and would not have a defined schedule for the four days planned to stay in Bahia, where they should remain until Tuesday (21).
