Fátima Bernardes, 60, walked the slopes of Olinda this Sunday (19) in a Spider-Man costume, alongside her boyfriend, federal deputy Túlio Gadêlha, 35, dressed as a Roman gladiator. Afterwards, the presenter of The Voice Brasil (Globo) changed her clothes for a swimsuit and a ballet tutu, complemented by a Branca de Neves mask, to enjoy Carnival among the revelers.
The costumes should not cause as much controversy as those chosen by the couple on Saturday (18). On the occasion, they appeared dressed as a doctor and a nurse. “Dr. Bernardes” and nurse Túlio on the slopes of Olinda “, she wrote in the caption of the images published on social networks. “On this return of Pernambuco Carnival after the pandemic, our tribute to health professionals.”
However, not all professionals in the latter area were pleased with the tribute. Some nurses used social networks to complain. “Nursing is not a fantasy, but a profession”, said Internet user Bia Miranda on Fátima’s Instagram.
Many people also took the opportunity to ask the duo to support the category in an old claim. “The only thing missing is the nursing salary floor, right, dear ones? This, indeed, would be a great tribute to professionals”, wrote internet user Maisa Xavier.
This was not the first time that a celebrity ended up in hot water with nurses. In 2021, Bruna Marquezine apologized after Coren-SP (São Paulo Regional Nursing Council) accused her of “sexualizing the profession” because of a nurse costume she wore to a Halloween party.
