The American actress Margo Martindale she is one of the protagonists of black comedy “Cocaine Bear” directed by Elizabeth Banks.

The premise of the film is inspired by the true story of the crash of a plane he was carrying drugs in 1985 in Georgia, USA, as then a black bear swallowed some of the massive amount of cocaine.

“I never thought I’d be doing an action movie at 70, but I guess I did!” the actress told EW of playing ranger Liz whose day takes an unexpected turn when she meets the bear.

“The heroine is dedicated to her work, wants to climb the pyramid and does everything according to the rules“, he adds.

The filming, as he reveals, was demanding.

“People were so kind to me. When I had to crawl on the ground, or in the bushes… there were two men waiting for me and helping me up. It was fine. They took very good care of me».

The script is written by Jimmy Warden, while it also stars, among others, Keri Russell, O’Cee Jackson JR, Alden Ehrenreich, Brooklyn Prince, Christopher Hibju, and Hannah Hoekstra.

The Universal Pictures film is expected to hit theaters on February 24.
