An expectation of a snowstorm in California made the local police decide to stop and postpone the search for the English actor Julian Sands, best known for his performance in productions such as “Dexter” and “Smallville”. He has been missing since January 13th.
According to Deadline, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said that all efforts have been made and that now the most prudent thing is to wait.
“On Saturday, February 18, 2023, more than 20 members of the Fontana Police Station and the West Valley Search and Rescue team conducted a ground search of the Mt. Baldy area.” Crewmembers focused on the area where the California Highway Patrol’s RECCO device hit a possible electronic device on January 25. Unfortunately, nothing was found that would lead to the discovery of Mr. Sands,” he said.
“Our goal is to close the operation with Mr. Sands’ family and, when conditions permit, we will continue the search,” he concluded.
On January 13th, Sands went hiking in the mountains of Southern California and did not hear from him again. The region where the actor went for a walk experienced a snowstorm at the time and was covered in ice. The teams were having difficulties accessing the site.
The actor also participated in the productions “A Window for Love” (1985) and “Three Men and a New Secret” (2007).
