“For all those children who will never get to know where ‘their train’ will take them,” the Sky presenter wrote on social media
Shocking messages of sadness, but also of anger, have flooded the cyberspace in the last few hours, on the occasion of the train tragedy in Tempe.
THE SKAI presenter, Sia Kosioni, shocks with a text she “uploaded” on social media, wanting to share her memories of train journeys.
The journalist also published a photo of the wreckage of the train and wrote in her message:
“Let’s go wherever it comes out”… For us former students of AUTH who for years ate the Athens-Thessaloniki route with a spoon, this was our “train”. And we were happy when we got on “our train”.
First of all, because we were on “our train”, with the comfortable seats, the canteen, the shorts brought to the carriages and not the uncomfortable and certainly less safe KTEL, which meant that our parents had overalls.
We were happy because our “train” was taking us back to our families, to the comfort of our homes, to our mom’s food. We were even happier, however, when he took us to our schools, when he traveled us to our futures, when he set us on the tracks of our lives with which we had not yet been introduced.
Consider, what an irony, that we always looked forward to reaching Tempi to admire the most beautiful part of the route. “Our train” symbolized our first flight to freedom. In a way, we really “went wherever”… But “wherever” after we arrived in Thessaloniki.
We are hurting and mourning today. For all those kids who will never get to know where “their train” will take them. From all of us fellow travelers in another time, in another era, have a good trip guys…».
