Hugh Jackman recently announced that he will be reprising his iconic role as the superhero Wolverine, and on Monday, March 6, he gave a little “taste” of how he’s preparing.

The 54-year-old star of the X-Men posted on Instagram photos of the specially prepared meals he will eat in order to get the… desired shape. These are incredible amounts of food, from salads and pasta to chicken burgers and rice. Each meal has the number of calories written next to it, which range from 1100 to 2100 calories per meal.

“Thank you Chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and eat right while becoming Wolverine. Again…” Hugh Jackman wrote in his post.

Many of the actor’s 31 million followers went “crazy” over the photos, writing how excited they are to be reprising his famous role.

In January, Hugh Jackman revealed that he will need six months of hard training to physically prepare for his return as Wolverine. “I don’t do any other work,” the actor said recently. “I will be with my family and train. This will be my job for six months.”

“Deadpool 3” isn’t scheduled to be released until November 2024, but Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are sure to make a difference.

Jackman in 2017 with the movie “Logan” ended his role as Wolverine with the character’s death. How Wolverine will return in “Deadpool 3” remains to be seen, but Jackman and Reynolds told Variety that the plan has been in the works for some time. “Deadpool 3” will mark Jackman’s 10th time playing Wolverine. The two actors first met during the filming of 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” where Reynolds played a different version of Wade Wilson/Deadpool.
