Actors and spectators in Thessaloniki are returning to the Royal Theater from today, Saturday, March 11, “after the suspension of the occupation of the theater by students of the KTHBE Drama School”, as indicated in a statement by the State Theater of Northern Greece (KTHBE).

The public will have the opportunity to see again the comedy by Giorgos Kapoutzidis “Whoever wants to divorce should raise his hand”, for which the cycle of performances is extended until Sunday, March 19, as well as the performance of the Children’s Stage of the Greek Theater of Greek Orthodoxy, “Garis, the musical”, which many schools have already attended, as pointed out in the announcement.

“For 34 whole days, the occupation of the Royal Theater was a lively meeting point for the city’s artists and a dynamic center of struggle that rallied its competing parts”, note the students of the KBTHE School of Dramatic Art in their announcement.

“The legacy left by this struggle will remain deeply rooted in our perception, and we make a promise to those who oppress us and trivialize our lives that they will find us in front of them in every social injustice, in every state murder, in every criminal policy” , they add.

It is recalled that students occupied the Royal Theater 34 days ago, as part of their actions and mobilizations for the withdrawal of Presidential Decree 85/2022.
