Justification for her Jamie Lee Curtis this year’s Oscars, as she won at the age of 64 and after a long career in Hollywood her first golden statuette, stirring up the audience.
But one presence sitting in the comfy seats of the Kodak Theater didn’t seem to share the joy: We’re talking about Angela Bassett, also 64, who was also nominated for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
So when it was announced that Curtis had won, Bassett was at least restrained and didn’t even stand up to applaud while sitting in the front row.
