Princess Charlotte is prohibited from having a best friend or friend at school

Princess Charlotte, 6, daughter of Prince William, 39, and Duchess Kate Middleton, 39, was banned from having a best friend at school. According to the Daily Star newspaper, the decision came from those responsible for Thomas’s School Battersea.

The school’s principals prevent the princess and all her students from having best friends, with the aim of having everyone interact with each other, without exclusions. The British newspaper explains that the ban seeks to make all students feel included.

“There is a policy of only allowing birthday party invitations if everyone in the room is invited,” a source explained to the tabloid. “There are notices all over the school asking children to be nice to each other. They don’t encourage anyone to have a single best friend.”

The institution’s website states that the school’s objective is to prepare students to have a spirit of leadership, stand out from the crowd and be ready to help those in need, always defending what they believe is right, even if it is an “unpopular” opinion.

Prince William and Kate Middleton spend around £18,000, the equivalent of R$138,000, a month for Charlotte to study at Thomas’s School Batersea. Prince George, 8, also attends the same school and Prince Louis, 3, is expected to join the school when he turns four in April.
