An expert when it comes to British royalty, writer Tom Quinn reveals details of how the dynamics of the relationship between Kate Middleton and William work. According to him, a former palace employee said that during fights, one used to throw objects at the other.
The revelation was made to be part of “Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family” (“Golded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family”), and echoed by Fox News.
“It’s not all sweet. They have terrible fights where they throw things at each other. Kate can seem like a very calm person, and so can William. But that’s not always the case. Because the big stress for William and Kate is that they’re constantly surrounded per [assessores do palácio]. It’s like a Jane Austen novel,” Quinn said.
“Of course all couples fight and yell at each other and say nasty things, but Kate is an instinctual peacemaker and William always gives in as he’s had more than enough emotions.”
Even the affectionate nicknames between the couple were revealed in the work. A source who has been in the same circles for years says that Kate refers to her husband as “baby”, while he calls her “Duchess of Doolittle” or DoD, the abbreviation of her name. Sometimes the wife jokes and calls William “bald”.
