I think we all need some Florence Pugh in our life. For the last month she has been adorning our Instagram feeds with her iconic looks and the fashion editors don’t have time to comment. In collaboration with the famous stylist Rebecca Corbin Murraywho works with Salma Hayek, Lily James and Simone Ashley, it’s no wonder Pugh looks amazing wherever and whenever she appears.

Well, here are some lessons we learned from Florence Pugh for the next time you’re thinking of trying a sheer piece.

Add color

What is life without color? While we all love a little black dress, let’s take our personal style a step further. If you’re starting to try sheer now, remember that sometimes bold colors can help us feel more covered until we’re comfortable enough and bolder. Go at your own pace and experiment to find what colors and what level of transparency works for you.

Try asymmetrical lines

Just because you’re wearing a see-through dress, doesn’t mean everything has to be visible. An asymmetrical strip of sheer fabric on a dress can be the first step when experimenting with sheer pieces. A combination of fabrics, textures and patterns can allow you to create an interesting look while still being comfortable.

Nude doesn’t always mean naked

Enhance a sheer piece with a pattern or embroidery like Florence Pugh in a Valentino top and skirt during Paris Fashion Week last October. The patterns, precious stones and accessories will give extra energy to your image.

Volume

More fabric, more texture, more drama. We all saw Pugh’s stunning dress at the premiere of Don’t Worry Darling at the Venice Film Festival. He followed Pugh’s lead by combining volumes and transparencies.
