“We were all 21 and it was my best friend’s birthday that night and she was the first to turn 22. It’s been 8 years since then. Of the three girls we were in the car accident, two are disabled with wheelchairs and the third is a brilliant psychologist. I am “haunted” by the date of the car accident because it was 8 years ago and that’s when the premiere of the series took place”, she said in her interview.
She continued: “I was the only one who didn’t lose consciousness, but I couldn’t help because I had suffered a spinal cord injury. I couldn’t feel the injury. I was bleeding internally and my lungs were ruptured. I had 1% life. I coped with it and my body because of sports. The doctors “assembled” me. I live and am here because of the cleanliness in the private hospital I was in.”

Georgia Kaltsis then revealed that she woke up after 24 days from a coma. “Neither the paralysis nor the death of my friend had been announced to me. I wasn’t even conscious and they didn’t know what character I was and how I would handle it. When I woke up, I thought it was because of medication that I couldn’t move my legs. I was in another phase. When I was told that I had spinal fusion surgery, I realized that I can feel my legs, but I can’t control them. That’s where the doctors told me. I didn’t take it seriously because I saw all the destruction that had taken place and they told me that my friend had also “gone”, he added.
Finally, about her new step in acting, she said: “The role of Stella absolutely “sticks” to me.”
