After a decade at Moschino, the American designer, Jeremy Scottwill step down from his role as creative director of the Italian brand, owned by the Aeffe Group.

“The last 10 years at Moschino have been a wonderful celebration of creativity and imagination. I’m so proud of the legacy I’m leaving behind,” Jeremy Scott said in a statement. “I would like to thank Massimo Ferretti for the honor of leading this iconic house. I would also like to thank all my fans around the world who have honored me, my collections and my vision, because without you none of this would have been possible,” he said.

“The way Scott embraced consumer culture at Moschino was bright, brave and intelligent,” wrote Tim Blanks in his Vogue review of the collection, which featured McDonald’s logos and SpongeBob SquarePants. Scott’s penchant for mixing high and low aesthetics resonated with many iconic pop stars of the decade, reports Vogue. Everyone from Lady Gaga to Cardi B and Lizzo found common ground in their views on culture and fashion.

Jeremy Scott was the one who dressed Katy Perry in a literal chandelier to attend the 2019 ‘Notes on Camp’ themed Met Gala.
