Rob Lowe speaking on the latest episode of iHeartRadio’s ‘Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi’ podcast he talked about the secrets of his successful marriage with his wife, among other things, Cheryl Berkoff.

“Marriage is hard everywhere, it’s not just in Hollywood — everywhere,” she told host Bruce Bucci. “Sheryl was and is my best friend. So if you marry for anything other than that then you will be at a disadvantage, because the friendship will remain when all the other things are gone.”

As “People” reports, the couple met for the first time on the set of the movie “Bad Influence”. They joined the holy bonds of matrimony on July 22, 1991 and have two children.

“People say marriage takes work. I’m not sure if it takes work, but what it takes is forgiveness and being really aware of what you’re willing to do,” the actor continued while admitting that “you have to keep the flame and the chemistry going like I do with Cheryl.” And that comes and goes. There are times when you say, “Nah.” And then there are times when you’re crazy about someone.”
