The film will hit theaters on October 4, 2024
With snapshots from the film’s protagonists “Joker 2: Folie a Deux”, Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn and Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, the director Todd Phillips announced in a post on Instagram that the shooting of the sequel has been completed.
“That’s it. Thanks to these two (+ the entire cast) and the BEST crew the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. I’m going to “crawl in a cave” now (editing) and put it all together,” the director wrote in the caption.

Notably, the filming of the sequel which loosely translates to: “Madness for Two” began in December 2022 and took place in various areas of New York with the last shots taking place on the famous steps of the Bronx.
The film stars, among others, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Zazie Beach.
“Joker” managed to exceed 1 billion dollars in receipts at the global box office and gave Joaquin Phoenix the Oscar for Best Actor. The “New York Times” in 2020 described him as one of the greatest actors of the 21st century.
