Singer Taylor Swift, 33, and British actor Joe Alwyn, 32, are no longer a couple, according to American press vehicles. The two were in a relationship for six years. The information was first disclosed by Entertainment Tonight (ET) and confirmed by People magazine.
Swift, Alwyn and their respective teams have yet to officially come forward. The breakup was amicable, happened a few weeks ago and “wasn’t dramatic,” according to ET. Swift is currently touring the United States with The Eras Tour and the couple’s split is said to be why Alwyn hasn’t been seen at shows recently.
The couple has been together since 2016 and the singer has already given statements saying she is very happy in the relationship. She confirmed that “Lavender Haze”, the lead track on her latest album, “Midnights”, is about her romance with Alwyn. During the pandemic, the two went on to do musical collaborations together, which earned Swift a Grammy. The “Folklore” and “Evermore” albums include collaborations with Alwyn, who wrote several songs under the pseudonym William Bowery.
Last year, rumors surfaced that the two were engaged. The couple has always kept their relationship away from the cameras and spotlight.
