Journalist Felipe Andreoli, 43, underwent emergency surgery this Sunday (9) to remove kidney stones. He said he started to feel pain on Saturday (8), but that the medicine was not enough to solve the problem. On Easter morning, then, he underwent surgery to remove the stones. “I went through an unspeakable pain. I confess, I even cried”, he said.
“Easter bunny, what do you bring me? 1 stone, 2 stones, 3 kidney stones!”, joked the journalist when sharing a photo in the hospital on his Instagram. In stories, he revealed that he felt severe pain on the left side of his lower back and went to the hospital. After tests, doctors detected the stones in the kidney. “We hoped to expel these stones. I took the medicine and, when I got home, I was dying of pain again. I ran back to the hospital. I underwent a surgical procedure and here we are at Easter”, he reported.
According to Andreoli, the surgery took place at 7 am and the forecast was to be discharged shortly after lunchtime. He also showed the newly removed stones from his body, which were in a plastic pot. “It looks like construction sand, that kind of dirty sand that has some pebbles inside. There are big ones, I was impressed”, he said.
The journalist recommended that his followers, when experiencing pain like this, do not delay going to the hospital. “Drink a lot of water. You can eat chocolate, because it’s Easter, but drink a lot of water.
In the caption of his Instagram publication, he even paid tribute to women. At these times I always remember you women. He says it’s the closest a man gets to giving birth. Are you crazy. We can’t take it. You are from another planet,” he wrote.
Rest? Andreoli seemed to deny the opportunity to take a break from work and rest. “I hope to work normally tomorrow, because the champion of São Paulo will come out and I want to do Globo Esporte for you”, he said.
