What we know about Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn’s breakup

The breakup of Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn was the cause of sadness for swifters last Saturday (8), as the couple was in a six-year relationship. Since then, everyone has been looking for the reasons for their sudden breakup.

According to People magazine, the couple was heading in separate directions. The insider claimed that close friends didn’t believe Taylor and Alwyn were going to break up for good, due to the great connection they had.

Among the differences, the actor would have had difficulties in dealing with the fame in a large proportion that the ex-girlfriend conquered in the post-pandemic period. When they were isolated together, Alwyn collaborated on the production of the albums “Folklore and Evermore”, and is listed under the pseudonym William Bowery.

Also according to the magazine, the personality differences between the two became difficult to ignore. Despite the years of living together, the couple would have grown apart. Entertainment Tonight (ET), the first to confirm the split, says Alwyn is more introverted, shy and quiet.

The portal Entertainment Tonight (ET) also exposed that the decision came more from Taylor than from Alwyn. According to a source, the singer wants to focus on her career. Taylor is touring with “The Eras Tour” and the announcement comes during a 13-day break from concerts.

Together since 2016, Taylor and Alwyn have kept their relationship out of the spotlight. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, the actor said he would not confirm rumors of an alleged engagement under any circumstances: “If the answer was yes, I wouldn’t say it. If the answer was no, I wouldn’t say it either.”

The couple’s silence caused great attention to be directed to each act of the two. A week before the end, Taylor changed one of the songs from the setlist of “The Eras Tour” and fans noticed the difference between the lyrics. “Invisible String”, which talks about soulmates, was replaced by “The 1”, a song about lost loves.
