Drake Bell’s brother was the one who involved the police in a suspected disappearance of the actor and singer. He told officers that his brother was threatening suicide because of issues with his ex-wife over custody of their children. Drake Bell is known for his participation in the series “Drake and Josh” (2004-2007), on the Nickelodeon channel.
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Drake’s brother Robert called the Orlando police on Wednesday night to say that Drake was making statements about not wanting to live anymore.
Robert told police that Drake was in Florida to visit Janet, his ex-wife, and discuss their child custody agreement. Drake and Janet split in January. Drake’s brother told officers that Drake was “shaken and made suicidal statements” in text messages to their mother.
That’s when Robert decided to call the police. Drake was reported missing on Thursday, with police in Florida saying he was missing and “considered to be endangered.”
Police officers treated the situation as a “possible suicide attempt”. Drake was spending time with his son on Tuesday at SeaWorld in Orlando. It’s unclear what the custody issues are between Janet and Drake.
Drake was found safe and sound shortly after he was reported missing. Hours later, on Thursday night, he tweeted: “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer it all night and that’s it?”
Despite an attempt to make it seem like it was no big deal, delegates have taken steps to ensure Drake receives a mental health evaluation. The actor and singer’s lawyer declined to comment.
