Douglas Souza, volleyball player and former participant of “Dança dos Famosos” (Globo), was proposed by his boyfriend, programmer and streamer Gabriel Campos, this Sunday (16). The couple shared photos of the moment on Instagram, with records of the rings and a dessert with the writing: “Will you marry me?”.
The volleyball player said yes. “You’ll have to accept that I’m getting married,” said Souza as he recorded the moment in stories. “I found someone who can handle me”, he joked while filming the beloved. The groom, Campos, also declared himself after the request. “Today is the happiest day of my life. You are the love of my life and I want to spend the rest of my life by your side”, he wrote.
Celebrities and athletes reacted to the engagement. The volleyball player of the women’s national team Rosamaria Montibeller wished the couple happiness. Bruninho, also a Brazilian volleyball athlete, reacted to the publication with clap emojis. Dancer Lore Improta and actress Lívia Lagatto also left praise on the social network.
Douglas participated in “Dança dos Famosos” after announcing his retirement from the Brazilian men’s volleyball team, in which he had been since 2011, with the base categories. He continues to perform in clubs.
