Meghan Markle’s first public appearance after a long absence from the public eye, rumors of a breakup with Harry and the announcement that she will not attend King Charles’ coronation “dropped” Twitter.

Meghan Markle appeared over the weekend via video call at her photographer friend Misan Harriman’s TED talk with straightened hair and a slightly different… facial expression, sparking a flurry of comments on social media.

One user wrote: “Plastic surgery alert? Sad that Meghan Markle wants to be Kate Middleton so badly.”

“Oh my god! Meghan Markle is jealous and obsessed with the Princess of Wales, wears contact lenses to look like Kate,” tweeted another.

On the other hand, fans of Meghan supported her on Twitter, saying that she did not have plastic surgery.

“It’s all about the lighting, the angles. And hair straightening is something many black women do,” one wrote. “Meghan doesn’t need plastic surgery. She’s getting love, she’s tanned and well hydrated,” another tweeted.

Representatives for the Duchess of Sussex declined to comment on the negative comments about her appearance, but sources told the New York Post that she denied the claims of plastic surgery.
