Celebrities and politicians mourned on social media the death of actor and comedian Ivanildo Gomes Nogueira, better known as Batoré, 61, in São Paulo, this Monday (10). He was hospitalized at the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) in Pirituba, north of São Paulo.
Journalist Milton Neves shared on Twitter a message exchanged with the comedian on social networks and lamented his death. “After Christmas 2021 I received this message from the brilliant comedian Batoré, and today I learned of his death from the damn cancer. God bless you, Batoré. You made a lot of people laugh around here. God bless you!”
“The guy who generated the most nicknames in a generation of ugly people dies. Rip Batoré”, wrote Maurício Meirelles on Twitter. Former Fazenda Caique Aguiar, son of comedian Carlinhos Aguiar, posted a crying emoji in a last post by Batoré on Instagram.
Journalist José Calil lamented the comedian’s death and the fact that he didn’t have time to go to his show. “Batoré died while I was in his debt. Several times he invited me to go to his show and I couldn’t because of my schedule. Great listener of Três Esportes. Go in peace!!!”
State deputy Coronel Telhada (Progressistas-SP) stated that the comedian’s death leaves a void in the humor. “The death of Batoré, who was fighting cancer, leaves a gap in Brazilian humor and makes our day even sadder. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace warrior”, posted the deputy on Twitter.
Senator Álvaro Dias (Podemos-PR) also shared the news of the comedian’s death on Twitter. “Actor and comedian Ivanildo Gomes Nogueira, 61, known as Batoré, died today in São Paulo. He had cancer. Our feelings and solidarity with his family and friends.”
