The first spring extravaganza of classic cars and motorcycles of Alimos unfolds again this year on its enchanting coastal promenade.
Organizers are aiming for the fourth Alimos Classic Car Sunday (and the third Alimos Classic Motorbike Sunday) to be bigger and better than the events which, until last year, took place every September.

Alimos Classic Car Sunday : Again this year, Sunday 28 May is organized with the contribution of FILPA, ORKA, SISPA, SDIO, ELKA, the Hellenic Fiat Club and other Clubs of Attica and the Region, the organizers therefore expect over 200 cars.
Alimos Classic Motorbike Sunday: Sunday, June 11, with the most historic and dynamic classic motorcycles, is organized in collaboration with the Classic Motorcycle Friends Club, which expects more than 120 legendary two-wheelers.
“The main motivation for this move was certainly the tyrannical temperatures we had every September, along with the expectation that May and the beginning of June would prove to be more… painless for the rare exhibits, but also for the spectators,” said the mayor Alimos Mr. Andreas Kondylis, “however, this way we also avoid coincidences of dates with the “Acropolis”, something that serves the cooperating Clubs and the owners/collectors who will bring us their rare vehicles admirably.”
However, the organization’s offers to car and motorcycle crews are tempting. Apart from the fact that there is no participation fee this year either, they will get caps with an embroidered logo, a commemorative poster, beach towels and a “free” pass for two people to the wonderful Cine Alimos, for the entire summer season!
The organizer of the events, Nikos Mastorakis, clarifies: “This is not a ‘lure’ to see more and rarer ‘motorcycles,’ but as a small reward for the owners of these unique machines. This year, in fact, ACCS4 and ACMS3 coincide with the ‘liberation’ of the classics from the hitherto unjustified state restrictions, since with the new law, from May 5, classics are freely circulated, even in the small ring, and without paying traffic tax. After periods of “hate” for classics, when it was completely banned their circulation except… two days a month, the state and the government show even belatedly their respect for this unique kind of cultural heritage.This year, we will once again host unique future classics, modern amazing cars that after 40 years it will definitely be on the history list. For this special category, we have invited major car shows, dealerships, private individuals who have such a model/models to show, to enter.”

But also for the approximately 20,000 spectators who will descend on the Alimos beach on Sunday, May 28, there is good news. They will be able to get hats, coffee mugs, t-shirts and posters in the event’s special souvenir shop as well as Classic Rolls Royce Sunday tickets (one euro), with the lucky winner of the day having a Sunday with the classic… Rolls Royce of the Municipality of Alimos, with chauffeur and lunch for all passengers of this dream ride.
