Rumors have been circulating for weeks that Mr Matthew McConaughey he was ready to enter his universe “Yellowstone” and now there is official confirmation.

In an interview with THR, Paramount Media Networks chief Chris McCarthy confirmed that Matthew McConaughey is indeed ready for a spin-off, although he did not reveal more details.

One thing he did reveal, however, is that the spin-off series will go forward regardless of whether Kevin Costner returns as John Dutton, patriarch of “Yellowstone” for the rest of the show’s fifth season.

There have been reports that Costner will not be returning for the next season of the popular series.

Initially, when McConaughey’s involvement in “Yellowstone” began to be speculated, it was reported that he could take on the role as a replacement for Costner, who, according to rumors, was unhappy with the series’ filming schedule.

Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and hopefully that will be the case for a long time to come. Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan we are working to expand the range of this incredible world he has created. Matthew McConaughey is an amazing talent that we would love to work with,” Paramount said in a February statement.

In response to questions about Kevin Costner, Chris McCarthy said the show “wouldn’t be what it is today without Kevin and hopefully he’ll be around for a long time.”
