Alessandra Scatena reveals that she lost her memory after Covid-19: ‘I forgot people around me’

The former stage assistant of presenter Gugu Liberato (1959-2019), Alessandra Scatena, 47, made a revelation to the program Fofocalizando (SBT) and took everyone by surprise. She said that she had serious consequences after having COVID-19 and ended up losing her memory. Scatena said that she still can’t remember exactly some facts of her life. “I forgot several things: moments in my life, things I still don’t remember, everyday words, people I really live with. I forgot the names. I went to record a commercial and, when I went to read a teleprompter, no I managed to verbalize what I was reading, it was desperate”, he recalled.

Scatena’s husband was also a victim of complications from Covid-19, but he couldn’t resist and died in July 2020. Rogério Gherbali (1964-2020) had three strokes (Cerebral Vascular Accident) after showing an improvement in the clinical framework. “I went to the bottom of the well. It’s a very big desert, I became even more attached to God”, he vented. The former SBT assistant had been married to Rogério for 23 years. Together they have two children, Enrico, 17, and Estéfano, 10.

“Rogério was very cheerful, playful. An exemplary father. He was and is the only love of my life. I forgot the names of everything, of people close to me. I’m still not 100%, but I’m getting better”, she said, who now works as an influencer. “I became the provider of the house. I do my work on the internet, on social networks and I intend to return to work on TV”, she said.

“All of us [meus filhos, ele e eu] we took [o coronavírus]. My children and I were asymptomatic, but Rogério got stronger, he spent 31 days in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). He started with symptoms of food poisoning,” he recalled.
