Lady Gaga says she was ‘chased by flies’ while filming ‘Casa Gucci’

Actress and singer Lady Gaga, 35, revealed that on the last day of filming for the movie “Casa Gucci” (2021) she was chased by flies. In the criminal plot, she played socialite Patrizia Reggiani, 73, convicted of murdering her husband, businessman Maurizio Gucci.

“On the last day of filming, I was on the balcony of my apartment in Rome, Dean Martin was playing ‘Mambo Italiano’, and I had a cigarette in my mouth. [Naquele momento] I was Patrizia. But I knew I had to say goodbye to her”, he began to tell, in an interview with W Magazine.

Gaga claims that the main point was having colored her hair brown. “I couldn’t be blonde with that Italian accent because I would still be myself,” she said. She also commented that it was important for the film not to be “a red carpet” as her character failed to reach the Gucci level.

“Fashion was a key part of Patrizia’s survival. She tried hard, but she could never be as shiny as the Guccis,” added Gaga. The film premiered in 2021 and was directed by Ridley Scott, and the singer starred with the likes of Adam Driver, Al Pacino and Jared Leto.

In a recent interview with the Just for Variety podcast, she revealed that she had psychological support during the filming of the film. “I had a psychiatric nurse with me at the end of filming,” he began during the conversation.

“I kind of felt like I had to do this, that it was safer for me,” she said, adding that during the filming of the film she lived like the socialite. “I brought the darkness home with me because her life was dark,” Gaga summarized.
