The Reds’ six-game winning streak was halted by the Blues, who in a thriller decided by… centimeters prevailed in the first immunity race in the flag race of Survivor All Star. This race was run under very difficult conditions, with the temperature being high throughout.

The Blues were determined to get the win as the margins have narrowed considerably. So they came in strong from the start and took the lead in the first race. The protagonist was Stavroula Chrysaeidi, who had a good hand in the shots, as a result of which George Lianos remembered the words of the EuroLeague TV announcer on the buzzer-beater three-pointer by Kostas Sloukas in the recent game of Olympiakos against Fenerbahce.

In the second match, the Reds appeared better and more read and managed to draw 1-1 thanks to a point from Sakis Katsoulis.

The two teams were led to a play-off match. The Reds led 2-0 and needed one more win to celebrate their seventh straight win. However, the Blues still had mental reserves, tied the game and took the race to the flag race. There, Sakis Katsoulis and Marios-Priamos Ioannidis fought a great battle, they hit their last shot almost simultaneously and the intervention of the video was needed to establish whose ball had crossed the rim first.

The video vindicated the Blues, who won the first immunity match and went on to watch the Island Council. With the Reds’ options limited, Giorgos “Koro” Koromi emerged as the week’s first exit candidate, an expected development according to himself.
