Presenter Martha Stewart, 81, became the oldest person to grace the cover of “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit” magazine in the US, in a swimsuit. Previously, the landmark of the traditional North American sports publication belonged to Elon Musk’s mother, Maye, who was also part of the main cover at the age of 74.

In an interview with the New York Times, the communicator celebrated the moment, which was a “test of courage”. “I had to make sure I was ready to pose in a swimsuit. It took a little vanity, but also a little confidence. I thought, ‘If I’m feeling physically and mentally fit to do something like this, then I’m ready for this. ‘” said Martha.

For the rehearsal, it was necessary to carry out nine changes of swimsuits. She also reveals that, backstage, they talked several times about “their girls”, as the breasts were called. “I’ve never called my breasts ‘the girls’ in my life. I hate stuff like that. The whole time these people were prodding, ‘Take this out, push that in.’ I had to put up with it for eight hours. Still, we were filming in the Dominican Republic and I had a great time.”

About her body, she still maintains monthly facial care sessions. Furthermore, the businesswoman feels confident about flirting. “I’m not shy. I find certain men very attractive. If I’m at a social event, I make a point of talking to those very attractive men,” she says.

The magazine “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit” hit the newsstands in North America this Monday (15) and has 10 images of Martha.
