‘First meeting of the year’, says Preta Gil about returning to work

Preta Gil, 48, returned to work this Monday afternoon (22). The singer, who is still undergoing treatment for bowel cancer, was received with celebration by the company’s employees, in São Paulo, and received many gifts such as flowers and cards.

In Instagram Stories, the singer registered her arrival at Mynd, a digital agency, music, talents and influencer marketing where she is a managing partner. “My first meeting of the year and I’m received like this, with flowers. Let’s see the sales report”, joked Preta, who also showed details of the meeting.

In another video, singer Gilberto Gil’s daughter showed more gifts she received from employees. “Mônica made the surprise for me. Daily dose of affection. She has several little notes for me, from several people from several departments. What love. I loved it. Every day I will read it”, she said with emotion.

The day before, Preta left home for the first time after discovering the disease earlier this year. She was at the Caetano Veloso show, at a festival that took place in Ibirapuera Park, also in São Paulo, and showed the use of a mask. “After 5 months, today I went to do my first rolezinho! I went to honor my sister Monique Garden, who idealized and held yet another iconic festival! My uncle Caetano Veloso’s show was too beautiful! Me and my faithful squires: Gominho, Ju Ferraz, Malu Barbosa, Marcel Maia, Aretuza Lovi and Thiago Pantaleão! Gradually I’m going back to doing what I love!!!”
