Son of Gugu, João Augusto Liberato used social networks to explain why he remained quiet during the court hearing on Monday (22) that discussed the action in which his mother, Rose Miriam di Matteo, asks for recognition of the stable union with presenter.
According to him, remaining silent was not an option. “I am a reserved and discreet person like my father was. It is not true that I preferred to remain silent during the hearing, I did not speak out because it was not the time for me to be heard,” he wrote in a post on his social network.
He claims he was very surprised when he was told that he had decided not to speak out, because “on the contrary, I have a lot to talk about and I even had to restrain myself not to speak when it wasn’t the time”.
João Augusto and Gugu’s sister, Aparecida Liberato, do not agree with the lawsuit filed by Rose and are on opposite sides of her and the twin sisters Marina and Sofia Liberato. “Everything I’ve been living is very sad and incredibly unnecessary. My father taught me so many things and what I want is to move on with my life honoring it all.”
In the report available on his personal page, João also claims that he has seen his father’s story being disrespected “with a bunch of lies” and that the presenter does not deserve that.
