Tony Tornado turned 93 last Friday (26th) and, after the recording of ‘Perfect Love’, he’s still on the set of the soap opera…. surprise! The actor won a party from his co-stars, in a celebration that left him very emotional.

The party featured red balloons, posters, a table with two cakes, sweets, snacks and dedications from colleagues spread across the walls. Even the little song “The rain falls / The street floods / Hey Tony, I’m going to eat your cake!” was sung at the time of “Happy Birthday to You”.

On the networks, friends and colleagues also paid tribute to the actor and singer, who has a very interesting life story. Soul singer and friend of Tim Maia at the time they both lived in the United States, Tony won the International Song Festival in 1970 singing the song “BR 3”.

He recorded a video with Mick Jagger, joined the army paratroopers along with Silvio Santos, was arrested in the 1970s for making the Black Panthers gesture, a group that fought for the rights of blacks in the United States, during an Elis Regina concert at Maracanãzinho. Tony does and it happens.

On Twitter, actor Babu Santana paid homage to his friend, highlighting his musical side and the importance of Tornado in his upbringing. “He danced beautifully to the sound of his powerful voice. I remember being blown away during his entire performance and at the end, I looked at my mother delighted, and said: MOM I WANT TO HAVE HAIR LIKE TONY TORNADO”, he wrote.

Tony’s son, Lincoln Tornado did not participate in the soap opera’s backstage party but also honored him on the networks. “I am very blessed to have my father as the greatest idol, career reference, human being, father, friend and having his phrase ‘Everything will work out’ as a great motto. You make me proud”, he wrote.
