Producer Bruno Rodrigues, former employee of Globo, and Jeander Vinícius da Silva Braga, 29, had their arrest warrant made by the Delegacia de Descobertas de Paradeiros (DDPA), for the death of actor Jefferson Machado. The case was forwarded to the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro, according to information confirmed by the police to F5.
Jeander Vinícius had not yet been identified as a suspect and, according to investigations, had a close relationship with the victim. He would have given testimony last Friday (26), and confessed to participating in the concealment of the body, according to the G1 portal. However, he was also indicted for alleged participation in the murder, in addition to concealing a corpse.
Still according to G1, the suspect’s version would put a third participant in the crime. Jeander said that she would have met Jeff on a dating app and would have gone to the actor’s house on January 23rd. There, there was a third person present. At one point, the suspect would have gone to shower for 15 minutes and, when he returned, he would have found Jeff already dead.
Jairo Magalhães, Jeff’s family lawyer, told F5 that there is no evidence that a third person participated in the crime.
According to the newspaper O Globo, the police are investigating the version that Bruno would have bought the construction material and Jeander Vinícius dug the hole where the trunk, with the body of actor Jeff Machado, was concreted.
Bruno Rodrigues, on the other hand, is investigated for the possibility of having deceived the actor with the promise of working in a soap opera. According to the victim’s lawyer, the suspect had Jeff’s bank card and the account continued to be used after the disappearance. He was also the one who registered the disappearance of the actor.
Bruno de Souza Rodrigues is a former employee of Globo. According to Fantástico, he worked at the company until 2018, when he was fired. Globo reported that it provided the police with all the details about the dismissal.
Another clue is related to the place where the body was found. The investigation points out that the property, 20 km from the house where Jeff lived, was sublet by Bruno a month before the disappearance.
