On the occasion of the film’s launch “Asteroid City” of the American director, Wes Anderson180 Studios and Universal Pictures have curated a new exhibition opening June 17 in London.

180 Studios is a network of production and exhibition spaces, supporting emerging talent and providing a platform for creative development.

Original sets, costumes, artwork, miniatures and art installations with visuals and sounds that capture Anderson’s signature style have been set up in the gallery at 180 The Strand and will transport visitors to his new film project set in a fictional American city of desert in 1955.

According to the official synopsis, the Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention, organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for a time of camaraderie and scientific competition, is interrupted by world-changing events.

Visitors to the Asteroid City exhibit will have the opportunity to experience the iconic 1950s diner as featured in Anderson’s 11th feature film.

The exhibition will run from June 17th to July 7th.

The movie “Asteroid City” starring Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Jason Schwartzman, Jeffrey Wright, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton and many others will begin showing in theaters on June 23.
