Jade Picon has been in therapy since she was 14 to deal with criticism: ‘Everything I do becomes a meme’

Guest this Friday (2nd) at the Meeting with Patrícia Poeta, influencer Jade Picon recalled the beginning of her career on the internet and her entry into dramaturgy. She participated in BBB 22 and, after leaving the reality show, debuted in her first role as an actress in “Travessia” (Globo), Gloria Perez’s 9pm soap opera.

“Everything I do becomes a meme, whether on the show, in the soap opera or in my personal life”, she said after Tati Machado spoke about the repercussions of Jade’s participation in Altas Horas, when she said that she cooks salad.

The actress also said that criticism is not something new in her life, but that now she deals better with the comments she receives. The news that Jade was cast as one of the protagonists of the plot, already in her first role, had a negative impact on the networks and comments about her performance lasted throughout production.

“The challenges were daily, but I’m not ashamed at all, everything in life is a process. But I have a very strong base, my family and the people who work with me. And, of course, therapy. I’ve been doing it since I was 14, many nights already I went to sleep crying.”

She also stated that she now has a filter to know when people are mean on the internet or when they criticize her to improve her work. “Sometimes they will criticize you and be right, so it’s important to know how to differentiate.”
