Actress Fernanda Paes Leme claimed to have been a victim of abuse in childhood. In an interview with the newspaper O Globo, published this Sunday (4), the presenter of the podcast “Quem Pode, Pod” spoke about the arrival of 40 years and how much her previous experiences reflected in her personal and professional life.
In one of the excerpts, Fernanda said that she suffered an episode of abuse, “at the age of 6 or 7”. The case had not been revealed until now. “I won’t go into details, because I’m not ready. But it was strong, heavy, it lasted a long time. It came from someone close to the family. My mother doesn’t imagine it happened and would never blame her, but that shows the importance of being talk to the kids,” she said.
Some of her characteristics are even attributed to the episode, according to Fernanda: “That way of mine, angry and rude, appeared after that. Being reactive with men comes from there.”
In the same conversation, the actress reports that this incident came back to her memory at the time of the #MeToo campaign, in 2017. There, she felt a “feeling of dèjá-vu from childhood moments”. “The clothes I was wearing, the smell of the place, the room I was in, the pillowcase. It was an episode that was always with me, but when I lost my virginity, for example, I blacked out”, she describes.
