On this day 125 years ago, he was born Federico García Lorcaone of the most important poets of the 20th century, who inspired generations and generations of people with his life and work.

Born in Fuente Vaqueros, near Granada spent his early years at the Jesuit school of Granada. His father was a farmer and his mother a piano teacher, who offered him daily lessons.

His family was privileged and educated and so they pressured him to enroll in Law School of the University of Granada at the age of 17. But Federico had more stimuli for music, painting and literature. Therefore he soon abandoned his studies and in 1919 he settled in the student residences of the University of Madrid, which at that time was functioning as an open university, a cultural center, of the Spanish capital.

There she met him Salvador Dalithe director Luis Buñuelthe poet Rafael Alberti and Jimenez. After 3 years he managed to compose his first poems entitled “Book of Poems”. His distaste for the Catholic Church and militarism was evident from his earliest works.
