‘Aparecida Liberato knew about our relationship’, says Thiago Salvático about relationship with Gugu

Proving a supposed stable union with Gugu Liberato became a matter of honor for Thiago Salvatico. After learning that the presenter’s children (João Augusto, Sofia and Marina) are discussing the action in which the mother of the trio, Rose Miriam di Matteo, asks for recognition of the bond with the former Record employee, the chef decided to speak out . “I asked the lawyers to reopen the action. I want to go back through the process and this time, I’m going to the end”, he says.

Thiago, who is in the German city of Paderborn, admitted to the F5 who has robust evidence that would prove his nine-year relationship with Gugu. “I’m going to prove it with documents, photos, messages and even videos. I’m going to show who Gugu’s partner really was”, she points out.

“I have intimate videos. I didn’t put them on because I don’t want to expose our intimacy, but if necessary, I’ll put them on. I don’t see the need. I have documents such as joint bank accounts, for example”, highlights Thiago revealing one of his cards in his sleeve. He then continues: “One thing I can say: our relationship was not public for Brazil, but it was public for those who were interested in his life and for the people around us”.

Thiago also claims that he never had direct contact with the presenter’s mother, Maria do Céu Moraes, but he was the one who helped Gugu buy some gifts on trips. “I never had the opportunity to talk to her. A little before he died, we talked about it, but there was no time”, he says and remains silent. “I know Aparecida (her sister). Of course I know her. She knows about me. Aparecida Liberato knew about our relationship.”

The kitchen chef recalls details of the penultimate day of Gugu’s life. “We had dinner the night before he died, at his house. The next day, he traveled to Orlando, we talked before the plane took off… I think about him every day”, he acknowledges. Thiago complains about the prejudice he suffers not only for telling but demanding respect for his story with Gugu. “People don’t accept that I was his partner and, mainly, that Gugu was homosexual.”

Thiago finishes talking about Rose Miriam. “I want to overcome that prejudice and I want people to know that I was his partner and not Rose. From the beginning, she knew that her role. Was it an important role? It was. But, she can’t put herself in one place that does not belong”.
