Next to friends, singer Preta Gil celebrated at the end of this Tuesday (6) the last session of radiotherapy, one of the stages of treatment against bowel cancer.
“Now there are two months of break, the surgery and the cure”, he said in a video published on social networks.
Preta underwent the sessions at a hospital in São Paulo and will now return home to Rio de Janeiro, where she will remain until her surgery to remove the tumor.
To the sound of the song “Amizade é tudo”, by Thiaguinho, the video shows the artist receiving hugs from health professionals and friends.
The singer announced, at the end of the session, that she will have a birthday party on the 8th. “I love you, I will never forget what you did for me”, she told health professionals. In the videos, doctors and nurses left emotional messages.
Earlier, participating in Mais Você (Globo), Preta said that she had to be revived by doctors after the septic shock she suffered while undergoing chemotherapy.
“I said: so God gave me a second chance to live”, he recalled.
During the conversation, Ana Maria Braga recalled one of the treatments she underwent against cancer. The presenter was moved by the account of Gilberto Gil’s daughter and exposed the pain and suffering she had with the disease, discovered in the anus in 2011.
