Presenter Patrícia Abravanel, 44, aunt of actor and singer Tiago Abravanel, 34, declared that she will cheer for her nephew at BBB 22, after his confirmation on reality. On Friday (15) she published a photo of Tiago on her Instagram, advertising the hashtag “team Abrava”.
“I can’t believe it! How brave!!! I’ve never watched a BBB now I’ll have to watch it! I don’t even know what day goes by. How brave! Imagine the butterflies in his belly! My God!”, wrote the SBT presenter.
Patrícia wrote that she hopes Tiago can surprise everyone and conquer even more with his charisma, cheerful and sensitive personality. “I’ll be in the crowd and try to keep up! Abrava Takes BBB!!! I’m sure Brazil will fall in love with you even more!! Go ahead.”
Patricia’s support for her nephew comes after he publicly criticized her comments about gay relationships, which she classified as homophobic. The controversial speech of the presenter was aired on the program Vem Pra Cá (SBT), in June 2021.
In a video on social networks, Abravanel started the conversation saying that the comment got him in the wrong way and that he decided to make the video to say how he, as a gay man, feels when he hears what she said.
“First of all, sexual orientation is not a matter of opinion. It is a matter of respect. You don’t have to be like me, but you have to respect who I am and that’s that,” he said at the time.
The artist is married to Fernando Poli, a visual producer, with whom he has been in a relationship for over five years.
