Netflix has revealed the new cast of actors for its second season “Squid Game” and already there is a lot of excitement… Star Lee Jung-jae will reprise his role as Gi-hun, determined to make the pageant officials pay for their “atrocities”.

As expected, Netflix’s hit ‘Squid Game’ is turning into the biggest reality competition of all time. While the stakes may not be as… vital as in the original series, the pressure remains high. The 456 players will compete against each other for the colossal prize of $4.56 million. This huge prize money is a new record in reality TV history.

The teaser also confirms that Gong Yoo, who appeared in the first season, is returning as the mysterious man in the suit who originally invited Gi-hun to play the game. New players joining the game are Yim Si-wan (Unlocked), Kang Ha-Neul (Midnight Runners), Park Sung-hoon (The Glory), and Yang Dong-geun (Yaksha: Ruthless Operations).

Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk had confirmed that the program would return for a second round of episodes during an interview with “Vanity Fair” published last month. They also shared a personal note from 51-year-old Dong-Hyuk, who began his message by writing: “A new round is coming. It took a full 12 years for the first season of Squid Game to come to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become Netflix’s most popular series. As the writer, director and producer of Squid Game, a huge thumbs up to our fans around the world».

Contestants will face a series of challenging games. Each player will be faced with the crucial question of how much they are willing to sacrifice to achieve victory. With strategic alliances, ruthless tactics and unexpected betrayals, “the Squid Game: The Challenge” will keep us, as Netflix promises, in suspense…
