Oscar-winning director, Oliver Stone, expressed his opinion about Hollywood and criticized the film series “John Wick” and “Fast & Furious”.

Speaking to Variety, Stone revealed that he recently watched the Keanu Reeves film “John Wick 4” on a flight and that he didn’t like it.

“I think the film is unimaginably disgusting. Disgusting“, he commented. “I don’t know what people are thinkingOliver Stone said of film producers and directors.

I might have watched the GI Joer series when I was a kid. But Reeves kills, three hundred, four hundred people in his film … And as a veteran fighter, I have to tell you, none of them are believable. I get that it’s a movie, but it’s become more of a video game than a movie“, he argued.

Oliver Stone opined that movies these days have “lost touch with reality” adding that “the public might like the video game”.

But I’m bored of it. How many cars can they crash? How many dangerous scenes can you do? What is the difference between Fast and Furious and any other movie?“, he said.

Whether it’s a superhuman Marvel character or just a human being like John Wick, there’s no difference. It’s not believable“, he added.

Stone was in Romania to accept an Overall Offering award from the Transylvania Film Festival, which also planned a tribute to the three-time Oscar-winning director. Among other things, his new pro-nuclear documentary “Nuclear Now” was screened.
