Shakira returned to use her music to give her ex-husband, Gerard Piqué, a jab. The excerpt from a still unpublished song by the singer presents new hints to the former Barcelona defender, who cheated on her with student Clara Chía, then bringing up several cases of Piqué while he was still married to the Colombian.
The lyrics of the song ‘Copa Vacía’ are the outburst of a woman asking her husband for attention. The excerpt reads as follows: “You are always busy with so much business. It would be good, my love, for some rest. Relax here on the sofa and give me your attention. The phone rings, use your hands with me. I know that you’re hot, but i’m so much more”. Shakira and Piqué have been married for 11 years and have two children: Milan (10) and Sasha (8). The divorce was officially announced in June last year, after the former athlete’s relationship with Chía, then 22 years old, became public.
The two remain together. Shakira has not taken on any dating since then but is the subject of growing rumors around an alleged relationship with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. The two, by the way, had dinner together (but not alone: there was a group of his friends) after the Barcelona GP, in early June.
