Obsessed with the Titanic, Adele talks to the concert audience about the imploded submarine

Sitting next to pianist Eric Wortahm, singer Adele, like everyone else in the world, got into the topic of the moment: the implosion of the submarine Titan in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. The submersible was carrying five people to explore the Titanic wreck site and was missing for five days. At ease, as if she were having a conversation at a bar table, she began to talk about the tragedy.

“I’ve been discussing it with my friends in our group chats. Everyone says, ‘I would never do that.’ But that’s a lie, because many people would do that”, said Adele, who has a special interest in the Titanic: her 30th birthday party, in 2018, had the ship as a theme, generating quite a controversy. That night, Adele dressed as Rose, Kate Winslet’s character and survivor of the disaster that hit theaters in 1997.

The “Someone Like You” singer continued: “I want to take a poll. Not thinking about what happened, because it was so sad and tragic, but before this week, how many people, if they could, would go to the bottom of the ocean to see the Titanic ? Raise your hands.”

After a sizable amount of people nodded, Adele commented, “See? I knew it! Turn the lights on so I can everybody… that’s a pretty good ratio.” But more spectators appeared to raise their hands when asked if they would balk at the idea of ​​boarding (including the pianist, at his side).

Adele perked up and wanted to know who, given the opportunity, would go into space. “I wouldn’t do that either, but only because I’m a little boring.
