The 1st Festival of Music and Art Schools is organized on June 28-29 at the Athens Conservatory by the Region of Attica, with the participation of students from the music and art schools of the Region, who will present their creations and will be honored for those who stand out.
The events on both days will start at 6 pm, with free entry.
The Festival which will be a celebration of the arts (Theatre, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Cinema) is an initiative of the regional governor Giorgos Patoulis, in continuation of the institution of the “Mikis Theodorakis” awards for their outstanding students, which was established by the Region while in planning, the establishment of scholarships for students of the music and art schools of Attica is also foreseen, as stated by Mr. Patoulis.
In particular and on the occasion of the organization of the Festival, after characterizing the schools as “cores of intellectual creation, which combine education and art, the two main pillars of timeless Greek culture”, he also points out that the Region supports them firmly, ensuring every available resource , for the safe transportation of students and the supply of musical instruments and educational equipment.
The event is coordinated by the Deputy Governor of Education Charalambos Alexandratos, who, referring to the music schools, emphasizes: “With the wonderful work they do in the Arts, they move us and make us dreamers and students of life. They deserve warm congratulations. To the teachers, to the parents of our students and above all to the students, for the unrepeatable moments they give us”.
