Nicki Minaj has taken a stand in support of the 14-year-old from Chicago who shot and killed a man to protect his mother as she was being attacked. In a post on Instagram stories, this Tuesday (27), she said she is willing to help him go to college.
The rapper believes the 14-year-old and his mother did absolutely nothing wrong, even if it cost a life. “That 14 year old boy who pulled his gun when that grown man was punching his mother in the face like she was a man; he is a true hero,” she wrote.
“If he wants to go to college, I’d love to help. It’s what any son should have done for his mother. She raised an amazing son and should be very proud. Also, God knew before she knew; that she would be attacked that day and made sure they had protection,” she added.
Previously, Carlishia Hood and her son were charged with first-degree murder after the teen shot and killed 32-year-old Jeremy Brown on June 18 at a restaurant. An argument took place at the scene and Brown was filmed punching Hood in the head. The young man shot at the attacker and shot more times after his mother asked him to.
